Our MD Julia is a qualified primary teacher and our Branch Manager Clare is a qualified early years manager. As professionals we truly understand what it is like to teach and to work in a school. This experience allows us to understand both the needs of the school and of our supply teachers. By working with schools to understand their specific needs or requirements, we can match teachers or teaching assistants to the right assignment in the right school. Over the past fourteen years we have learned that everyone gains more by working together.
As members of REC Education (Recruitment and Employment Confederation) all of our terms of business need to be of the highest standard and compliant with the latest legislation. In addition all four managers at Class Act are members of the IRP (Institute of Recruitment Professionals), which means that as individuals we have demonstrated significant skills and experience in the education sector with the highest personal values. We are especially proud of Julia, who has been awarded Fellowship of the IRP.
At Class Act we follow OCC guidance on Safer Recruitment and have built our around policies around these and REC best practise. Our recruitment process includes the following steps to ensure that you only get safe, suitably qualified, fully vetted and checked professional qualified teaching staff.
Teachers call us or send an online enquiry, we then discuss their initial enquiry and proceed to a face to face interview if we believe they are suitable. At the face to face interview we will review their application forms (especially any gaps in service); we will also ask to see original paperwork, copy these and check these against online databases; and finally we will ask for information to take up references and will insist that the most recent reference is from their last head teacher. Once we have gone through the formalities and decided that subject to confirmation of online checks and satisfactory references, we will discuss their availability, preferences, additional skills and any other relevant information which may be helpful in placing them with a school.
After fifteen years of providing primary school supply teachers to local primary schools we have an unrivalled record. You are assured that you will always receive our full attention from enquiry through to invoicing.
