Introduction to Class Act - Oxfordshire's Primary Supply Teacher Agency
Welcome to Class Act, my name is Julia Oliver, I am a qualified primary school teacher and the Owner and Managing Director at Class Act Teaching Services. I graduated from De Montford University with B.Ed (Hons) and began my primary school teaching career in Warwickshire. After several years as a Class Teacher, I joined a well-known national education recruitment company, however it soon became apparent that there was a need for higher quality, personalised supply services for primary schools. This would have been difficult for a national company to provide, so in 2002 I set up my own independent teaching supply agency to provide first class people to local schools.
Supply Teachers and Schools Working in Partnership
We have grown from a very modest start and are now delighted to be the leading primary teaching supply agency in Oxfordshire, but of course we still continue to offer that individual service that is the core to my business. Our aim is not to be the biggest, but to simply be the best provider in the primary education sector in Oxfordshire
The Class Act Team
Here are a few pictures are from our teachers tea party in July. Class Act are a small very close team of exceptional and focussed people and we like it that way; it allows us to concentrate not on being the biggest, just on being the best!
Julia Oliver B.Ed (Hons) FIRP continues to be directly involved in the running of the business working closely with Clare on a day to day basis whilst keeping up to date with all aspects of the profession through her close links with Oxford Brookes University, OCC, and various head teachers.q
Clare Adams-Yewer MIRP began her career in nursery management, qualifying as a registered manager over fifteen years ago. Having had considerable HR and education experience Clare joined Class Act seven years ago, quickly becoming Branch Manager. With over twelve years experience in recruitment Clare has now achieved MIRP status. Whether it's contact with schools, or teachers, Clare is the main contact for all operational and day to day matters.q
Mark Oliver MIRP is Julia's husband worked for over 30 years in the Architectural profession and built up numerous contacts in local schools designing and delivering education construction projects throughout Oxfordshire. Mark brings a wealth of skills with him and provides directorial support for Julia as well as management support across many non-educational aspects of the business. Mark is your contact for IT and technology, facilities management and has a gift for creative design which he uses in our marketing material
Trevor Adams AIRP is Clare's brother and our Business Manager; he uses his experiences from management roles in the service industry sector and as a former primary school governor to provide additional support across the whole business. If you require any information on any of the non educational parts of Class Act please feel free to contact Trevor.
Tracey Smith is a valued member of the Class Act 'family' working as an Assistant Education Consultant providing the essential admin support for the business on a day to day basis. Tracey is very familiar with the school environment having worked in admin roles in primary schools in south Oxfordshire.
Charlotte Dunn is also an Assistant Education Consultant providing the support with school and teacher enquires. Charlotte joins from a management role in an early years setting and brings lots of new experience (and a certain amount of youth) to the team.
Sonia Adams is the newest member of the Class Act family assisting the team with office tasks, but with specific responsibility for managing invoices. You may have spotted that Sonia is another Adams; she is in fact Clare and Trevor's sister in law, so really are a big extended family.
While we have no vacancies in our office, we always need more primary teachers and experienced teaching assistants, so come and join our fun team.
Don't forget Class Act Teaching Services cover all of these towns and more. And did you know we also provide primary teacher jobs outside of Oxfordshire, in may towns in Buckinghamshire, West Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Northamptonshire, Wiltshire and Hampshire.
